Giving

A key part of King’s Wood’s philosophy is that the school should be as affordable as possible. Like most non-profit schools, tuition revenue alone does not cover the entire cost of operating King’s Wood. For this reason, we rely heavily on the philanthropy of our current, alumni, and extended King’s Wood community. 

All proceeds raised through the Annual Fund help cover traditional costs associated with academic enrichment, such as our trip to the Children’s Museum in Easton, live musical performances, Fall hayride, etc., and to improve our facilities. 

Over the years, funds raised were utilized by the school to build an all-natural playground. During Covid, funds helped pay for the playground awning, which provided shade and shelter from the elements and allowed the teachers to make the outdoor space part of their classroom. More recent renovations were the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. 

Some of the improvements we’d like to take on in the near future include renovating the two downstairs bathrooms and creating a renovated storage space in the attic.
