I attended KWMS from pre-K through kindergarten. I graduated from Oliver Ames High School in 2016 and from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in May 2020. I am currently working for an engineering consulting firm in their water business line and plan to begin my Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering on a part-time basis during 2021. I love cooking, volunteering, and running.

The deep sense of community cultivated at King’s Wood has always stuck with me!

I attended KWMS for preschool and kindergarten, graduating in 1997. I graduated from Ursuline Academy in 2009 and Marist College in 2013 with a degree in International Business. I currently work for Dell Financial Services, as a financial analyst. I spend my free time visiting with friends, hiking and knitting.
I have the best memories of King’s Wood. My favorite was celebrating the winter solstice. The classroom always felt so cozy, and I loved putting together the spice sashes. I am lucky enough to be a regular visitor at the school, and can frequently take in its magic.
The sense of community and family still continues and is what makes it so wonderful.

I attended KWMS from pre-k through kindergarten. I graduated from Sharon High School in 2018 and will graduate from American University in 2022 with double majors in psychology and justice and law.

King’s Wood is is the reason that I love school! I will always have lovely memories of making potpourri for the longest night and reading the Phantom Toll Booth. My mom still has the daily journals I wrote during kindergarten.

I was at King’s Wood through Kindergarten. I graduated from Dana Hall School in 1990, the University of Chicago in 1994, and Yale University School of Nursing in 2000. I currently work as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner just down the street from King’s Wood at Pediatric Specialists of Foxborough.

What I recall most from my time at King’s Wood are the feelings of wonder, curiosity, and freedom. It was magical for me and when the time came to choose a preschool program for my daughters I knew I wanted them to have the same experience. Seeing how they grew and developed with kindness, creativity, and interest in learning made me love King’s Wood even more. Wanda retired just before my older daughter started, but we all loved Vicki, Sharon, Brunilde, Anisha, and Liz and their different styles of teaching and interacting. (My youngest and Sharon had a very special relationship which frequently led to extra snacks for her.) I am still in contact with 2 friends I had from King’s Wood and both my daughters also have continued friendships, including 2 of my younger daughters best friends.

I think we learned many important things from King’s Wood – including to explore and experiment and try things even if they don’t always work out as planned, to be kind and accepting of others, to be creative, to get dirty, and to always be your genuine self.

I attended KWMS from 2007 to 2010. I will graduate high school in 2022 from Dana Hall School. Every so often, a new memory will pop into my head and I will be so excited to talk about it with my mom and younger sister, who both went to King’s Wood too. One of my favorite memories is making streams of water in the playground/outside area and having them flow out to big puddles and sitting in those puddles, getting soaking wet, but having so much fun. I also remember going for hikes in the woods around that area and eating lunch while sitting on a big rock. I remember really liking the marker table and all of the different activities to do on the second floor.

I think that I benefitted immensely from the Montessori style of learning because it was imprinted on me at a very young age that I can take ownership of my own learning.

At King’s Wood I learned that I can find other ways to learn in school that aren’t necessarily as conventional and common as the methods taught in regular public school, but are helpful for me and personalized to my personality and learning style.

King’s Wood set me up really well for elementary, middle, and high school, and I am incredibly thankful for all of the people who made my preschool and kindergarten experience so enjoyable.
